The Salem Hyde Family Teacher Organization (FTO) strives to develop closer connections between school and home by encouraging family involvement. This family led organization supports the school by fundraising and hosting community events.
Who is on the FTO?
YOU are a part of the FTO if you are a family member or caregiver of a Salem Hyde student! We recognize that many of you who provide care and support for our students may not be parents in the traditional sense. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, adult siblings, (and more!) make Salem Hyde a vibrant community. We welcome all of you to share your gifts and talents with us by donating your time, service, skills, or just good vibes-- we are happy to have you participate in our school community!
What Does the FTO Do?
The FTO does fundraising projects throughout the year and all money goes directly back to the school to help fund field trips, special projects (murals or other school beautification, scholarships for the band trip in the spring, and teacher and staff appreciation), and classroom requests from teachers.
We also host community events so that our Salem Hyde families can connect with each other and the school-- the Back to School BBQ is one of those events.
